This year has been a busy one for President Trump in his constant battle against the Democrats, as they did everything they could to discredit him and impeach him, which they successfully did this December.
Here are the top five dumbest things Democrats have said about Trump’s impeachment
1) Nancy Pelosi claiming “impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan.”
This March 2019 statement looks like it came back to bite Pelosi, as she successfully led an effort in the House to impeach President Trump, which not only got no Republican support, but two Democrats voted with Republicans against an impeachment inquiry and ultimately both articles of impeachment. Nancy was right, however, about how divisive impeachment is.
2) Democrat Rep. Mike Quigley claiming “Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct, as we have learned in painful instances and it’s certainly valid in this instance.”
Obviously, This guy hasn’t been to law school, or even paid much attention to an episode of Law and Order, since it’s painfully obvious that hearsay evidence is not evidence. And many have been quick to say that Congress is not a court and does not have to follow common law practices. But the AP legal scholars note that “you start with the general presumption that hearsay is less reliable.” Obviously, even giving Congress concession to hearsay evidence, it is most definitely not as reliable as cold, hard proof.
3) Schiff claims he doesn’t know the Ukraine “whistleblower,” staff hasn’t contacted him.
During the first House Intelligence Committee meeting on impeachment, Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) said, “I do not know the identity of the whistleblower.” Facts prove otherwise, with Schiff’s staff meeting with the individual before the whistleblower complain was filed. This also contradicts another claim that Schiff made, saying “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”
4) Pelosi says Trump is “goading” Democrats to impeach him to fire up his base.
In May of 2019, Pelosi claimed, “Trump — I use his name — Trump is goading us to impeach him,” she said. “That’s what he’s doing. Every single day, he’s just like taunting, taunting, taunting.”
Now it appears that Trump’s plan to “goad” Speaker Pelosi into impeaching him is working. 48 hours after the Democrats’ impeachment vote, the Trump campaign raised $10 million, and the base sure is fired up!
5) Assistant Speaker Ben Ray Luján claims “No on here came to Congress to impeach a president.”
During the impeachment debate on the House floor, Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) claimed “no one came to Congress to impeach a president,” despite some members literally screaming that very intention to their bases while running for Congress, and after being sworn into Congress.
One member especially comes to mind: Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who screamed, “We’re gonna go in and impeach the motherf***er!” So, good luck with that one Luján, your argument has been declined.
They in truth did not impeach the President .They impeached the democratic party
