Trump secures HUGE Christmas present for Military — the largest pay raise in 10 years

In a Christmas letter to the United States troops, who were addressed as “extraordinary men and women,” President Trump announced that he has secured an “unprecedented” Christmas gift for them: another pay raise

However, this pay raise, which goes into effect January 1, 2020, is not just some tiny amount. It’s 3.1%, which is the largest increase in over ten years, according to President Trump’s letter. The raise is part of the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2020, just passed by Congress and signed into law.

“While previous administrations allowed Military pay to stagnate, my Administration has secured pay raises for our Troops in each of the past 3 years — every year of my Presidency. This is unprecedented,” the President wrote. “I want to thank each of you for your distinguished service this past year, and I am excited about what we will achieve working together for the American people in 2020.”

The bill also has allocated money for the creation of the U.S. Space Force, another win for the U.S. Military.
