On Thursday, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi addressed the nation to speak about impeachment, one day after the House Judiciary Committee heard from four legal professors.
After claiming Trump somehow violated his office by having a phone call with Ukraine’s president, she said, “The President leaves us no choice but to act, because he is trying to corrupt, once again, the election for his own benefit.”
“Today, I am asking our Chairman [Nadler] to proceed with articles of impeachment,” she announced, then leaving the podium.
