CNN calls out Nadler: his ‘own words come back to haunt him’

After Wednesday’s first impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee chaired by rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), CNN wrote a summary piece about it, including a harsh criticisms of Nadler for his previous 1990’s comments during Bill Clinton’s impeachment.

During the impeachment hearing, Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH) read statements by Nadler in 1998, where he said impeachment is the “undoing of a national election,” continuing, “And one of the reasons we all feel so angry about what they are doing is that … they are ripping asunder our votes. They are telling us our votes don’t count and the election must be set aside.”

CNN wrote in their analysis piece that “Nadler’s own words [had] come back to haunt him,” citing Chabot’s reference to these statements.

The rare criticism of Democrats by CNN is a shock, with even one of the farthest-left networks on television is calling out Nadler for his inconsistent stance on impeachment.
