Melania wraps presents, makes decorations with children at a Salvation Army in London

On Wednesday, while on an overseas diplomatic trip with President Trump for the NATO Summit, First Lady Melania Trump visited the Salvation Army Clapton Centre in Clapton, north London, where she helped excited children make Christmas wreaths. She was accompanied instead by Suzanne Johnson, wife of the US Ambassador.

Isabelle Bates, 10, said, “We were talking about mince pies and she said she never had one but she was going to try one tonight. I thought she was really fun,” commenting on her interaction with First Lady Melania.

Melania also joined U.S. Embassy Marines to put gifts in bags to help with the Salvation Army’s annual present appeal for local families. She also gave out “Be Best” ornaments to children after they finished singing Christmas carols before leaving in her motorcade.

Last night Melania joined her husband President Trump for a NATO reception at Buckingham Palace where she met and spoke with Queen Elizabeth II.
