President Trump pardons the White House Thanksgiving turkeys

On Tuesday, President Trump is set to pardon the two White House turkeys in the rose garden, while standing beside First Lady Melania Trump. First Daughter Tiffany Trump sat in the front row at the ceremony next to Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), his wife, and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

The National Turkey Federation announced that the turkeys are named “Bread” and “Butter.” As customary, the turkeys spent the night at the Willard InterContinental D.C. hotel 

While introducing Bread and Butter, he joked that “they have already been subpoenaed to appear at Adam Schiff’s basement on Thursday.” to testify in the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry. 

President Trump issued a “full and complete pardon.” to Butter the turkey.

Last year, the White House turkeys were named Peas and Carrots. Peas was honored as the official 2018 Thanksgiving turkey.
