According to CNN, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been admitted to the hospital after experiencing chills and a fever earlier in the day. Ginsburg, who is 86 years old, was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC before being transferred for more extensive evaluation and treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
CNN says Ginsburg is expected to be released as early as Sunday morning.
Earlier in November, Justice Ginsberg missed key Supreme Court arguments because she was “indisposed due to illness.”
In January 2019, Ginsburg missed her first oral argument in more than 25 years while recovering from surgery to remove cancerous nodules from her lung.
In 2018, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell and fractured three ribs, which discovered the cancerous nodules.
