Jeff Sessions is back: running for old Alabama Senate seat

Former Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, III (Jeff Sessions) is back and he’s better than ever, ready to reclaim his former Senate seat from Democrat hands in 2020, as the saving grace in Alabama.

The former Senator for Alabama is expected to formally announce his race for Senate on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, according to Fox News.

Should Sessions enter the crowded GOP field in Alabama, candidates are sure to jump out of the race, as the political giant would blow them clean out of the water.

According to the report, “Sessions has not spoken with President Trump or Majority Leader Mitch McConnell about running for his old Senate seat, the sources said. He has hired Curt Anderson of On Message to be his campaign consultant.”

Sessions’ entrance into the Senate race is a sign of relief to many Republicans, girding their loins for a potential re-match between Judge Roy Moore and incumbent Democrat Sen. Doug Jones.
