On Saturday morning, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took to Twitter to apparently try and mock President Trump’s decision to move his official residence from New York, New York to Palm Beach, Florida after he ends his presidency in 2025.
Schumer wrote on Twitter, “New York, New York. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere… Trump can’t,” referencing the Frank Sinatra song “New York, New York.”
The senior Senator’s comment has raised eyebrows on Twitter, especially since President Trump not only built multiple skyscrapers in New York, not to mention all his charitable work, notably with building the famous Wollman Ice Rink in Central Park, he now sits in the highest office in the land, which is no easy feat.
Radio show host Wayne Dupree wrote in response, “Is that what you said when you were on your knees begging for money inside Trump Tower?”
President Trump sure has not only made it in New York, but he has also risen to the Presidency of the United States.
In comparison, Schumer is a career politician, who immediately after law school, ran for office, and has held a seat in the New York State Assembly and both chamber of the U.S. Congress for nearly 45 years. By no means does it appear Schumer is good at anything other than winning elections in a predominantly Democrat state (which is not hard once a person is an incumbent).
President Trump’s choice came after city and state leaders have treated the President with disdain and made the city an environment where he would lose millions of dollars if he stayed. Despite all the disdain by politicians, Trump wrote on Twitter, “As President, I will always be there to help New York and the great people of New York. It will always have a special place in my heart!”
Schumer’s attempt at humor in his tweet still won’t make the Democrat Party anymore powerful in the Senate, nor in the country, as his party is moving farther and farther left.
This clown has never accomplished anything in his life except run for office. Never had a job, never had employees or started a business. 45 years in politics doesn’t make you anything but a career politician without enough brains to blow your nose.
