On Saturday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) took to Twitter to set the record straight on his about a disparaging comment made by a faceless Twitter troll going by (The Hoarse Whisperer), claiming his district is “so partisan, a red pile of s—t could win.”
Gaetz, who represents a district with more military personnel than any other, did not take the insult kindly, especially given the U.S. Military being integral to keeping our nation safe from foes, both foreign and domestic.
Gaetz wrote, “I represent more uniformed military than any other member of Congress. The people I serve – my bosses – they’ve expressed an elite level of patriotism so that [you] have the right to be an anonymous jerk on Twitter. Say what you will about me. You aren’t worthy to attack my voters.”
The firey tweet is just the latest in the Florida congressman’s ruthless defense of his district, his country, and his President.
Last week, Gaetz led the charge in exposing the secrecy of the Democrats’ impeachment “witch hunt” when he and other Members of Congress stormed through a closed-door committee interview, where Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) did not permit their presence as they dug for evidence to try and impeach President Trump.
On October 14, Gaetz was thrown out of another committee hearing when he tried to sit in on the testimony of a former top National Security Council expert on Russia.
