On Sunday evening it was reported that former Michigan Rep. John Conyers, Jr. passed away at the age of 90.
Conyers, who was the longest-serving black member of Congress, resigned in 2017 amid sexual assault allegations.
Conyers settled a $27,000 sexual misconduct complaint in 2015, where a former female staffer alleged he fired her for turning down his sexual advances. Conyers denied the accusations despite paying her off.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who is a member of the radical left-wing “Squad,” and now represents Conyers’ former district said, “never once wavered in fighting for jobs, justice and peace.”
This is a developing story.
